Adecom College of Business and Management , Ibadan Hosts 3-Day Leadership Training

 




Adecom College recently organized a 3-day leadership training program for its newly elected student union executives, featuring a lineup of esteemed speakers from academia and industry.

The program, held from April 1st to 3rd, 2025, was anchored by Alabi O. F. of the Mass Communication department. The event brought together high-profile personalities, including Rector of Adecom College of Business and Management, Dr. Adewale Adesina, Rector of Daboss Polytechnic, Prof. Sobowale Adedayo, Pastor Joseph Olajimi of Highways Sanctuary Church Worldwide, Mr. Adekanye Adeyinka, newly appointed advisor to the student union executives, Dean of academic affairs, Mr. Jamiu Afolayan, the school SIWES coordinator, Mrs Olusola Ayinnomi, the librarian, Mrs. Titilayo Ajibogun, Barrister Anthonia and Head, Mass Communication department, Mr. Ajibola Shina among others.

Over the three days, participants engaged with thought-provoking topics, including "Why Are We Here"?, "Principles of Goal Setting," "Self-Discovery and Development platform for self actualization," "Leadership," and "Dispute Resolution." The speakers shared valuable insights, drawing from their expertise and experiences.

A highlight of the program was the dinner night with Dr. Adewale Adesina, where students enjoyed delightful cuisine, music and meaningful conversations with the Rector.

The training concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony, where Dr. Adewale Adesina awarded participants with certificates of participation, followed by a photo session.

This comprehensive leadership training program reflects Adecom College's commitment to nurturing effective, well-rounded leaders who will make a positive impact in their communities.

A remarkable turnout of students filled the halls, each poised with determination to advance to the next phase of their academic journey. The first paper began promptly at 11:00 a.m. across six departments: Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Public Administration, and Hospitality Management and Technology.
