DAY 1 OF 3-DAY LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM FOR STUDENT EXECUTIVES OF ADECOM COLLEGE BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION


The 3-Day Leadership Training Program for Student Executives held at Justice Ayoola house, New Garage, Ibadan starts today 1st April, to ends on 3rd April 2025. The program aimed to equip student leaders with essential leadership skills, knowledge, and attributes necessary for effective leadership. Three renowned speakers delivered presentations on key topics, providing valuable insights and practical guidance.

Furthermore, The visionary and the proprietor Dr. Adewale Adesina is the first speaker who did justice to the opening lecture of the topic, Why We Are Here. The program commenced with a thought-provoking presentation. He emphasized the importance of understanding one's purpose and role as a leader. Key takeaways included:

- identification of the duties of the portfolio 

- Understanding the impact of leadership on others

- Recognizing the significance of collaboration

 The second Speaker, in person of Engr. Sobowale Adedayo delivered a presentation on "Principles of Setting Goals." The speaker provided practical guidance on setting effective goals, including:

- SMART goal setting (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound)

- Prioritizing goals and creating action plans

- Learning listening skills before writing

The final speaker of the day in person of Dr. Awotiku Kunle presented on the topic, "Required Attributes of Success,"  The speaker highlighted essential attributes for successful leadership, including:

- Being intentional about success and self-awareness

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- clinching to the acronyms

R -relationship

The first of the 3-Day Leadership Training Program for Student Executives 2024/2025 academic session was a resounding success, providing participants with valuable insights, practical skills, and a deeper understanding of effective leadership. The first paper began promptly at 11:00 a.m. across six departments: Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Public Administration, and Hospitality Management and Technology.
