Adecom College Prepares ND II Students for Final Academic Hurdle

In a decisive move to smooth the final stretch of the academic journey, the management of Adecom College of Business and Management has sensitised National Diploma (ND) II students on project writing procedures, graduation requirements, and key academic guidelines, in line with ongoing Federal Government reforms in Nigeria’s education sector.

The orientation seminar, held at the college hall, drew a large turnout of graduating students from departments across all faculties, underscoring the importance attached to the exercise.

Designed as both a compass and a roadmap, the programme enlightened students on recent restructuring within the education sector, particularly as it affects final-year project preparation, submission procedures, and graduation clearance. Participants were reminded that project writing remains a compulsory academic requirement for graduation and must strictly comply with the institution’s approved format and standards.

One of the facilitators, Mrs. Gladys Shoga, took students through the fundamentals of Chapters One and Two of project writing. She explained critical elements such as the background of the study, statement of the problem, literature review, and proper academic structuring, noting that a solid foundation is the backbone of any credible research work.

In his presentation, Mr. Ayodele Emmanuel shed light on research methodology and data analysis, focusing on Chapters Three and Four. He also demonstrated how to determine sample size using the Taro Yamane formula, employing practical examples to simplify the application of sampling techniques in research.

Similarly, Mr. Afolayan Jamiu guided students on the preparation of preliminary pages and Chapter Five of the project. He emphasised the importance of proper citation and referencing, stressing that acknowledging sources not only strengthens research credibility but also helps students steer clear of plagiarism. He further highlighted the correct arrangement of references in line with the institution’s approved academic style, describing accurate documentation as a mark of academic integrity and professionalism.

The seminar forms part of the college’s broader commitment to equipping its graduating students with the knowledge and skills required tocomplete their programmes and meet national education standards—ensuring they cross the finish line prepared, confident, and compliant.

  1. Many students today face intense academic pressure, making it difficult to manage multiple deadlines and complex subjects. In such situations, the idea to hire someone to do assignment often comes up as a quick solution. While it can provide temporary relief and guidance, it’s important to use such services responsibly. They should serve as learning support rather than a shortcut. Focusing on understanding the material alongside getting help ensures long-term academic growth and genuine skill development.
